When my friend watched the new opening for RWBY Volume 3, he realized something after seeing Raven. Raven is an older version of Akame from Akame ga Kill! I mean seriously! Look at them! Don't they look alike?! For those of you who don't know, Akame is a warrior from the assassin group Night Raid. Her weapon, Murasame, is a deadly weapon that infects anyone it cuts with a deadly poison. It will kill in one hit. Our theory is that after the battle against the capital was over, she left to a new land: Vale. There she met a man known as Qrow. He promised to upgrade her weapon, if she would join Beacon. I guess that explains why Neo (or as I call her, Fem-Feitan), was so scared of her. She knew the weapon would kill her in one hit!
